As the culmination of 21 movies in the MCU, Endgame is the ending of a beautiful era and the beginning of a new one. Endgame finds our heroes post snap, defeated, desperate, and doubting each other and themselves. They have had to live with their failure to themselves and to half of the universe but as Steve said "Some people can move on, but not us." They devise 1 last 'all or nothing' plan to make things right and defeat Thanos. But will it work and what will it cost?
The Russos once again have given us a movie that managed to be bigger in scale than their last one while still keeping the heart, humor, and impressive story telling. Again they drew from the comics but managed to be completely unpredictable. The Russos have to be on the conversation of best directors of our time after this one.
Endgame does a great job of showing us heroes that we are used to see win, as failures and how they deal with that. From depression, to obsession, the survivors of the snap have been through a lot and were able to perform that flawlessly. This being the ending of the original 6's arc, all of them had moments that shone through the movie and all of their arcs closed fantastically.
Josh Brolin's performance as Thanos was great, and as intimidating as they come yet again and somehow the stakes he raised were even higher than it's predecessor. He has solidified himself as the greatest on screen villain and his role will go down in history.
From the plan, to the battle, to the fan service, and emotional moments, Endgame Delivers! I am certainly looking forward to the next phase of the MCU featuring the newer characters and seeing where they take us now that the infinity saga has came to a close. I will have a spoiler filled article where I explain certain things about the movie for those that have questions. Feel free to leave your comments below.
Aside from music I have a deep love for film and television. I love movies and here you can check out my opinion on various movies and shows that release, if you want an everyman's opinion.
